I’m Aly Romero, a DFW based private chef, brand ambassador, and cookbook author, known for creating elevated, restaurant-quality dining experiences in the comfort of your home. You may have seen me as a member of “The Meatball Mamas” on The Great Food Truck Race: Alaska on The Food Network, or from appearances on Good Morning America and The Chew. But at heart, you can think of me as your friend who loves to cook—here to share my love for delicious food, great company, and fun experiences in the kitchen.

I’ve always loved food, not just for its capacity to nourish and sustain us but also for its power to comfort and connect us. Across the world, food is a fundamental part of various cultures' traditions, celebrations, and milestones. Learning about, preparing, and sharing food with others is one of my greatest passions, and that’s why I started my food blog in 2016.

That blog led to my success as a brand ambassador, my career as a private chef, and my involvement with multiple philanthropic causes and media appearances. My debut cookbook, “Gas Fire Heat,” was published in June 2024. It’s a celebration of bold flavors, gilling, smoking & confident home cooking. It can be found anywhere online where books are sold! I’m currently working on my second cookbook, set to publish in Spring 2027, which continues to explore elevated yet approachable outdoor cooking with flavors and influences from around the world.
